Founded by Heidi Hines and her top-performing colleagues Tim Brown and John Green, the company was born out of a desire for innovation and a commitment to client-centered service.
After successfully establishing themselves as a leading real estate force, they made the strategic decision to sell the company to a larger franchise. However, after fulfilling their contractual obligations, Heidi, Tim, and John saw an opportunity to return to their roots and reestablish their own brand, free from the constraints of franchise fees. Thus, Hines & Associates Realty was reborn.

Hines & Associates Realty was founded by members of one the Charlotte area’s top selling real estate teams, TeamHeidi. After a decade of branding herself, Heidi Hines and two of her top performing team members, Tim Brown and John Green, decided it was time for an innovative real estate company in Charlotte. A company made up of truly top producing agents. Agents that really care about their clients, their families and not just the corporate numbers.
After a few years of growing the company, they sold to a large franchise. Heidi, Tim and John were under contract to remain with that franchise for a period of time. Once the contractual time had expired the three principals discovered what they thought would be a great opportunity for their team, knowing all the while, if it wasn’t they could always be Hines & Associates Realty again.
With the changes in the market Heidi, Tim and John felt it was time to take TeamHeidi back to being on their own. This removes fees for the agents, saving them money which passes the savings onto who this is all about – YOU , the clients!
